What primary care covers
Annual physicals and preventive screenings, immunizations, management of ongoing conditions (diabetes, hypertension, asthma, thyroid), medication management and refills, referrals to specialists, and sick visits that benefit from a clinician who has your chart. For children, pediatric primary care adds well-child visits, developmental screening, and school and sports physicals.
